Flight Crew Planner

Location: Budapest, Hungary

Wizz Air, a prominent European low-cost airline, is seeking a Flight Crew Planner to join its operations base in Budapest. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of the company's commercial program through expert crew rostering. The Flight Crew Planner will also be instrumental in driving system and process improvements while prioritizing the well-being of crew members.

Responsibilities

  • Constructing crew schedules in accordance with the commercial program and duty time limitations.
  • Optimizing crew rosters to maximize crew productivity while adhering strictly to safety and compliance regulations.
  • Monitoring and managing available crew resources to guarantee program coverage, operational resilience, and achievement of target crew utilization levels.
  • Collaborating effectively with various internal departments, including Cabin and Flight Operations, the Training Department, Human Resources, and Recruitment.
  • Managing roster fatigue and ensuring the well-being of over 900 crew members.
  • Tracking, monitoring, and modifying cockpit and cabin crew rosters.
  • Leading initiatives for process and system enhancements, including the oversight of the HP bidding and Roster Preferences module.
  • Maintaining continuous coordination with the Training Department and Crew Training Planning to align rostering principles with training mandates.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to industry regulations, including duty and flight time limitations, and Fatigue Risk Management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Possession of a growth mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Effective oral and written presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to reside and work in Budapest, Hungary.
  • Flexibility to travel as required away from the Head Office.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of AIMS, Jeppesen, and CAE Crew and Ops systems.
  • Understanding of Working Rules Limitations and Rest Requirements.
