Crew Rostering Specialist

The Crew Rostering Specialist is responsible for planning and managing crew rosters to ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of the company’s commercial flight program. The role focuses on process improvement, operational resilience, and the professional wellbeing of over 900 crew members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain crew schedules aligned with the commercial flight program and duty time limitations.
  • Optimize rosters to maximize productivity while strictly adhering to safety and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Monitor crew resource availability to ensure operational resilience and meet targeted utilization levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Cabin and Flight Operations, Training, Human Resources, and Recruitment departments.
  • Manage roster-related fatigue and prioritize the wellbeing of the crew workforce.
  • Track, monitor, and adjust cockpit and cabin crew rosters as necessary.
  • Lead initiatives for process and system enhancements, including oversight of the HP bidding and Roster Preferences modules.
  • Coordinate with the Training Department and Crew Training Planning to ensure rostering principles align with training requirements.
  • Maintain full compliance with industry regulations, including flight time limitations and Fatigue Risk Management.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 1–3+ years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of AIMS, Jeppesen, or CAE Crew and Ops systems is considered an advantage.
  • Understanding of Working Rules Limitations and Rest Requirements is considered an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a growth-oriented, proactive mindset.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
  • Effective oral and written presentation skills.
  • Must be eligible to live and work in Budapest, Hungary.
  • Flexibility to travel away from the head office as required.
