Wizz Air, a leading European low-cost airline, is seeking a Flight Crew Planner to join their team in Budapest. This role is crucial for efficiently, safely, and compliantly planning and managing crew rosters to support the company's commercial operations while prioritizing crew well-being and driving system improvements.
About the Role
The Flight Crew Planner is responsible for creating and managing crew schedules that align with Wizz Air's commercial program and regulatory requirements. This position involves optimizing crew rosters for maximum productivity and operational resilience, ensuring program coverage, and overseeing crew fatigue and well-being for a significant number of crew members. The role also entails leading process and system improvements within crew planning, fostering cross-functional cooperation, and ensuring adherence to fatigue and duty time limitations.
Responsibilities

Building crew schedules in accordance with the commercial program and duty time limitations.

Optimizing crew rosters for productivity while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Overseeing crew resource availability for program coverage and operational resilience.

Collaborating with Flight Operations, Training, Human Resources, and Recruitment.

Managing roster fatigue and well-being for over 900 crew members.

Tracking, monitoring, and modifying cockpit and cabin crew rosters.

Leading improvements in planning systems and processes, including bidding modules.

Cooperating with the Training Department to align rostering with training needs.

Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, including duty and flight time limitations and Fatigue Risk Management.
Requirements

1-3+ years of overall work experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Fluent English (written and spoken).

Ability to live and work in Budapest, Hungary.

Flexibility to travel as required.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Knowledge of AIMS, Jeppesen, and CAE Crew and Ops systems, along with an understanding of Working Rules Limitations and Rest Requirements, are advantageous.
