International Flight Operations - Africa & Middle East
Position Summary
Voyageur Aviation Corp. seeks a highly qualified and safety-focused First Officer for its critical CRJ-200 fleet operations. As a key member of the Flight Operations team, the First Officer will report directly to the Chief Pilot and holds primary accountability for maintaining the safe, efficient, and secure operation of company aircraft engaged in international missions. This role specifically supports overseas operational bases across demanding environments, including Africa and the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The successful candidate is expected to:
- Serve effectively as the Second-in-Command (SIC) on company aircraft, providing comprehensive support and collaboration to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
- Execute all flight duties while strictly ensuring that established parameters for operational control are maintained throughout the duration of all flights.
- Achieve scheduled flight objectives and maintain exceptional on-time performance standards consistent with operational requirements.
- Operate company aircraft safely, upholding the highest standards of security for all passengers, crew members, the aircraft itself, and valuable cargo.
- Facilitate clear, effective liaison and professional communication with the Pilot-in-Command, Voyageur’s Dispatch department, Air Traffic Control (ATC), Flight Service Stations (FSS), and designated customers.
- Ensure the readiness and availability of all necessary navigational resources, including current maps, charts, and required flight equipment, onboard the aircraft prior to dispatch.
- Proactively participate in all required safety briefings and rigorously utilize the comprehensive Safety and Risk Management system established by Voyageur Aviation Corp.
- Maintain all current qualifications, licenses, and ratings required for continuous crewing and operation of CL65/CRJ aircraft.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, governmental air regulations, and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete all required operational documentation and necessary flight paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Distinctive Ingredients for Success (Required Qualifications)
Only applicants meeting the following minimum criteria will be considered for this international role:
- Possession of a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Mandatory CL65 Type Rating.
- A minimum threshold of 2,000 hours total recorded flight time.
- A minimum of 750 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) flight time.
- A minimum of 300 hours flight time on type (CL65 aircraft).
- Demonstrated capability to function effectively and independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to identify and implement robust solutions under operational pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for clear coordination with international partners and internal teams.
- Willingness to commit to a flexible, international rotation schedule.
- Must possess a valid passport and be legally able to travel internationally without restriction to all company operating locations.
- Relevant previous experience in roles such as Pilot, CRJ, CRJ 200, CRJ 900, Bombardier, Aviation, Captain, Airline, Cargo, Charters, Overseas, or International operations is highly valued.
