The Opportunity: Human Resources Generalist
Keewatin Air LP is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join its dedicated team in Winnipeg, MB. This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting the company's human capital initiatives, ensuring the recruitment, retention, and development of exceptional talent within the demanding and specialized aviation sector. The HR Generalist will contribute significantly to fostering a positive workplace culture, upholding HR best practices, and supporting the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition processes for diverse aviation roles, including pilots, maintenance technicians, flight paramedics, and administrative staff.
- Administering comprehensive employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding procedures.
- Managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes effectively.
- Ensuring rigorous compliance with all relevant labor laws, aviation regulations, and company policies.
- Supporting HR program development, including compensation, benefits administration, and training initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records, and contributing to insightful HR reporting and analytics.
- Acting as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with Keewatin Air LP's operational and strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a CPHR designation is considered a significant asset.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably within the aviation, aerospace, transportation, or a similarly fast-paced and regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment law, HR best practices, and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment strategies, employee relations, and general HR administration.
- Exceptional communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
