Annual Compensation for a Level 1 First Officer is $80,408.00 CAD.

Key Responsibilities of the First Officer (FO) include:

Assisting the Captain in the flight planning, preparation, and management of the flight.

Carrying out take-offs and landings under the specific authority of the Captain.

Executing other duties as delegated by the Captain.

Assuming responsibility as Captain in the event of the Captain’s incapacitation.
Qualifications
Prospective First Officer candidates must meet the following flight qualifications and language proficiency standards:

A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL) with either IATRA or SAMRA & SARON exams passed.

Completion of 1000 hours of total flying time, including 250 hours of multi-turbine experience.

English Language Proficiency level 4 of ICAO's language proficiency rating scale.
Requirements
Candidates for the First Officer position must also fulfill the following requirements:

Possess a Canadian Passport and be eligible to work in Canada, with the ability to travel without restrictions throughout the Cargojet network. Any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations are the sole responsibility of the candidate.

Be required to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).

Adhere to Cargojet’s strict drug and alcohol policy, which requires all employees to abstain from consuming Cannabis, both in and outside of the workplace, due to operating in a safety-sensitive environment.
