Captain - Aviation - Bentonville, Arkansas
Tyson Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Captain to join our aviation team in Bentonville, Arkansas. This full-time position reports directly to the Chief Pilot and requires a dedicated individual with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Summary:
The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft in accordance with the approved aircraft flight manual, federal aviation regulations, and the Tyson Foods flight operations manual. The Captain acts as Pilot in Command on assigned flights, ensuring the highest standards of airmanship and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Exercise full authority and responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft during assigned flights.
- Supervise all crew members assigned to the flight, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Verify that the preflight inspection has been completed prior to departure.
- Confirm that all required equipment, paperwork, and supplies are onboard the aircraft.
- Complete a comprehensive weather briefing for departure, en route, destination, and alternate airports.
- Review aircraft performance, calculate weight and balance, ensuring the flight operates within aircraft operating limits.
- Report flight cancellations or diversions to the Dispatcher and Chief Pilot.
- Coordinate with the lead passenger regarding passenger arrangements.
- Utilize cockpit flows and checklists according to the aircraft manufacturer's guidance.
- Ensure a thorough post-flight inspection is completed following each flight.
- Complete all required trip paperwork.
Requirements:
- Possess a valid and current FAA Airline Transport Certificate.
- Hold a First Class medical certificate.
- Possess a restricted radiotelephone operator permit.
- Hold a current U.S. passport.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum flight time of 2,000 hours with 500 hours multiengine preferred.
- Falcon 2000 EASy, Gulfstream GVII, GVIII, or Global 7500 type rating preferred.
- Must hold or be able to obtain the appropriate type ratings for the aircraft to be flown.
Additional Skills:
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills.
- Consent to and pass a 10-year background check to include: employment history, FAA database records, and driving records.
Travel:
Regular domestic and occasional international travel are required for this position.
