Flight Support Specialist - Citation Latitude/CE 680
Textron Aviation seeks a highly skilled and experienced Flight Support Specialist to provide on-site support for owners of Citation Latitude/CE 680 aircraft under the ProOwnership management agreement. This role will be based within a reasonable distance from the managed aircraft and involves comprehensive flight operations, including scheduling, trip planning, and meticulous aircraft care.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance the ownership experience by providing expert knowledge of Citation and King Air systems, avionics, and flight characteristics.
- Effectively communicate product and ownership benefits during flight activities.
- Act as a company liaison between the owner and Textron Aviation, ensuring fair representation of all parties' concerns.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the owner regarding Pilot-in-Command responsibilities, safety standards, and efficient aircraft utilization methods.
- Embrace a solution-driven mindset, actively seeking resolution through all available avenues.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, identifying mechanical and cosmetic discrepancies. Accurately report findings to the Maintenance Manager and the appropriate Service Center, prioritizing quality and safety.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to schedule necessary aircraft inspections. Ensure aircraft meet MNPS/RVSM/RNP standards for domestic and international travel requirements.
- Work closely with the Account Manager to understand and provide input to the aircraft flight schedule. Continuously monitor flight activities, ensuring adherence to operational manual guidelines, including crew duty limits, rest requirements, runway lengths, and weather minimums. Prioritize safety above all in every flight.
- Maintain familiarity with all applicable FAA and ICAO regulations, strictly complying with all regulations and local operating procedures.
- Ensure training and flight currency for all phases of operations. Inform the Chief Pilot or Manager, Aircraft Management of any approaching expiration dates.
- Participate in required training, including initial and recurrent aircraft training, emergency procedures training, crew coordination training, international procedures training, and other training as deemed necessary by management.
- Perform essential day-to-day departmental management duties, such as maintaining aircraft flight logs, updating aircraft navigation equipment, obtaining current electronic and hard-copy flight documents, and handling store room duties and light aircraft cleaning.
- Coordinate vacation requests with the owner's assigned Account Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business Management or Aerospace related fields.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 3 years of industry experience is required, meeting the qualifications outlined below.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to obtain a valid US passport.
- Ability to obtain a FAA First Class medical certificate.
- Airline Transport Pilot certification with demonstrated piloting skills exceeding minimum standards outlined in the appropriate Practical Test Standards.
- FAA Flight Instructor Certification preferred.
- 3,000 Total Logged Flying Hours.
- 1,000 Hours in Turbo Prop, Turbo Fan or Turbo Jet Aircraft.
- International operating experience preferred.
- Experience in Citation or King Air products preferred.
- Ability to consistently comply with customer insurance requirements.
