Job details
The Assistant Chief Pilot supervises flight crews to ensure compliance with Company policy, FAA aircraft and operating procedures. They are also assigned any duties by the Chief Pilot and provide assistant to the Chief Pilot in the development, administration, coordination and implementation of company policies. They ensure flight operational safety and compliance with flight standards of 14CFR 135, the company Operation Specification and all applicable manuals. They ensure the highest degree of safety in the operation and serve and support the Chief Pilot.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Insures, through testing and/or observation, that persons under his authority know and abide by the applicable portions of policies and regulations, including, but not limited to the following:

Federal Aviation Regulations
-
Airman’s Information Manual
-
GOM
-
Operations Specifications
-
Air Carrier Certificate
-
Supervision of flight operations
-
Quality Assurance
-
Ensures flight operations are done in accordance with FAR’s and operation specifications, monitor and correct as necessary operational standards

Recommends and implements approved policies.

Any duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot

Identifies, anticipates, and takes corrective action to minimize actual/potential delays due to scheduling operations, crew legality, and maintenance issues.

Recommend process and communication improvements.

Maintain strict confidentiality in all cases involving client aircraft operations and when dealing with sensitive or security issues.

Performs other TransMedics tasks and duties as necessary
BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office, iOS, and other internet-based programs.

Highly knowledgeable of 14CFR 119, 135

Excellent management skills
-
Extensive piloting background

Requirements
-
Must hold EMB-505 Type Rating
-
3,000 hours total flight time
-
1,500 Hours Total Pilot-In-Command (PIC) Time
-
ATP Certificate
-
Current First Class Medical and a clean record
-
Valid & Unrestricted Passport
