Role Overview

A2G International is seeking an experienced Chief Pilot to lead airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. This pivotal role involves overseeing flight operations for government, defense, and commercial clients, ensuring all activities adhere to the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across DCMA, Part 91, and Part 135 environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Flight Operations Management: Direct all flight operations, coordinate crew assignments, manage operational resources, and ensure strict compliance with FAA, DCMA, and military policies.
  • Safety and Compliance: Lead safety initiatives, conduct incident investigations, perform operational audits, and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Personnel Leadership: Mentor flight crews, facilitate professional development, and oversee recruitment and retention strategies to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Training and Development: Design and implement pilot training programs, ensuring all personnel remain current with required certifications and operational skillsets.
  • Performance Reporting: Monitor flight data to optimize operations and provide senior leadership with detailed reports on safety, performance, and operational audits.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Maintenance, Logistics, and Intelligence departments, while coordinating with government stakeholders to support mission execution.

Candidate Requirements

  • Pilot Qualifications: FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) or Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate endorsements; minimum of 10 years of flight experience, including time as a Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in military and general aviation settings.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Proven experience in DCMA, Part 91, and Part 135 flight operations; strong knowledge of FAA and military aviation regulations. Experience in Airborne ISR is preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of leadership experience in aviation, specifically in flight operations management, crew supervision, or training.
  • Military Experience: Previous military aviation experience (Air Force, Army, Navy, or equivalent) is highly desirable, particularly regarding ISR operations and operational management.
  • Operational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of flight planning, crew scheduling, and airborne intelligence mission coordination.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, results-oriented approach.

Physical and Operational Requirements

  • Must be eligible for security clearance as required for government contracts.
  • Ability to pass a FAA Class 1 or Class 2 Medical Examination.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of working in varying environmental conditions, including on-site operational settings, with a requirement for travel and extended hours as necessitated by operational demands.
