Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring that assigned company aircraft operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This position must be able to fulfill the requirements as specified by the company Flight Operations Manual and the applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations as well as the regulations of other governing authorities.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Pilots company aircraft to transport associates to various locations under day, night, and instrument conditions.
  • This person will perform all flights in accordance with Corporation policies and procedures and government regulations.
  • Determines decision and notifies passengers of departure and arrival times as well as any significant issues that may impact the passenger's safety or schedule.
  • Performs a complete pre-flight inspection of the aircraft, to include an external walk-around and a cabin inspection.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of baggage and performs other services, as required, to expedite the handling of passengers.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (highly preferred) in Aeronautical Studies or another related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Two years recent experience as a jet aircraft pilot crewmember flying passengers in domestic locations.
  • Current as Pilot-in-Command or Second-in-Command in a multi-engine jet aircraft minimum 3,500 total time.
  • Hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate issued by the FAA.
  • Type rating CE-560XL preferred.
  • Successfully complete the manufacturer's approved ground and flight training program for the assigned aircraft.
  • Hold a FAA Second Class Medical and be physically and psychologically capable of executing assigned tasks at all times to the satisfaction of aviation management.
  • Reside within one hour of metro Grand Rapids, MI Gerald R. Ford Airport (GRR) or being willing to relocate within one hour of metro Grand Rapids area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail skills, highly organized, and ability to multi-task.
  • Must have a strong commitment to customer service, solution execution and follow through.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Display a high degree of decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and overnight travel.
  • Ability to travel 100% of time.

May be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The associate is frequently required to sit/stand/walk. Must be able to travel. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a typical airplane environment and will be exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
