As an Aviation Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all non-aircraft specific training programs adhere to rigorous FAA regulations and company policies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Curriculum Development and Delivery: Manage the development and delivery of training programs, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.
- Curriculum and Instructor Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum, course materials, and instructor performance to identify areas for improvement and maintain high training standards.
- Curriculum Enhancement and Implementation: Initiate and manage the implementation of necessary changes to curriculum and course materials to reflect industry best practices and regulatory updates.
- Instructor Coaching and Mentorship: Provide guidance and coaching to instructors to enhance their skills and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality training.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain proficiency in all aspects of ground school training to effectively support instructors and trainees.
- Resource Management: Ensure the availability of essential training resources, including course materials, classroom equipment, and technology.
Qualifications for Success
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience and training.
- Experience: Minimum of four years of related experience, including two years teaching in a flight operations department or equivalent military experience.
- Aviation Expertise: Proven experience working with flight crews or equivalent military background.
- Licenses and Certifications: Possession of an FAA Airline Transport Certificate.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Part 121 Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Instructional Skills: Exceptional ability to instruct, motivate, and develop employees.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong supervisory and leadership skills combined with professional presentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in FAR 121 airline flight operations.
