Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The Captain holds ultimate responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Challenger 604 aircraft. Responsibilities include conducting all flights in a safe and prudent manner, strictly adhering to all applicable regulations and company procedures. Key duties are:

• Ensuring the safe operation and airworthiness of the Challenger 604 aircraft.
• Reviewing the maintenance status and logbooks of the aircraft prior to departure.
• Conducting comprehensive pre-flight inspections in strict accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM).
• Completing a thorough check of weather conditions and facility status along the planned route, including all intended and alternate airports.
• Ensuring all flight operations adhere to the established policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Maintaining the utmost safety and security of all passengers, crew, and the aircraft throughout the flight profile.
• Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all necessary trip paperwork and operational documentation in accordance with current procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Prospective Captains must meet the following flight time requirements:

• Total flight time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC) time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL) time: 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land Pilot in Command (MEL PIC) time: 500 hours
• Time in Turbo Jet aircraft: 500 hours
• Instrument time: 250 hours

Specific Qualifications and Certifications

Candidates must possess the following specific credentials and demonstrate operational flexibility:

• Current and valid Type Rating on the Challenger 604 aircraft or a comparable large cabin jet is mandatory.
• A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate is required.
• Must be available and willing to operate on an on-call basis, reflecting the demands of private aviation.
• Must be able to successfully complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
• The primary residence must be situated within a two-hour drive radius of Hanscom Field (KBED), or the applicant must be willing to relocate to meet this operational requirement.

Solairus Aviation determines crewmember compensation based on market conditions, utilizing data from multiple industry sources. Salaries for Solairus crewmembers range from $50,000 to $500,000, determined by factors including geographic area, comprehensive experience, specific equipment type/aircraft, job duties, training requirements, and the assigned account structure.
