The Opportunity
SkyShare is actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate Gulfstream GV typed First Officer to join its dynamic Part 135 flight department. This full-time role involves flying both the Gulfstream G450 and Gulfstream GV aircraft, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate will be an advocate for SkyShare’s mission, contributing significantly to the company's vision by providing clients with the highest level of service and safety. Key Responsibilities
The First Officer will be entrusted with the following critical duties:
- Ensure meticulous adherence to all FAA regulations, company policies, operational checklists, and industry best practices.
- Perform flight duties for up to 14 hours per day, frequently traversing multiple time zones and navigating diverse weather conditions.
- Maintain a flexible schedule as part of the rotation, which includes days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Be available for overnight trips, requiring several consecutive days and nights away from the home base in various hotel accommodations.
- Reside within a one-hour commute of Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) or be willing to relocate within three months of the hire date.
Desired Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following essential qualifications:
- Current and qualified in the Gulfstream GV series.
- Valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate category and class ratings.
- Minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time, including:
- 250 hours in the G450/550 and/or GV.
- 1,000 hours multi-engine aircraft.
- 500 hours jet aircraft.
- 500 hours cross-country.
- 300 hours of instrument time.
- 100 hours of night flying.
- Valid FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Valid FAA Instrument Rating.
- Possession of a valid U.S. passport and driver’s license.
- Current IFR knowledge and extensive experience.
- Prior experience operating under FAA Part 135 regulations.
- Demonstrated international, transatlantic, and transpacific flight experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
- Ability to successfully pass TSA background checks and secure an appropriate SIDA badge when applicable.
