The Rheem Aviation Chief Pilot is responsible for :
* Ensuring that all pilots adhere to FAA regulations and ISBAO company policies, and procedures
* Conducting pre-flight checks of the aircraft before each flight and making sure that all safety equipment is functioning properly
* Training new pilots on company policies and procedures
* Managing a Training Plan for pilots and support personnel.
* Conducting periodic audits of aircraft to ensure that they are incompliance with FAA regulations and ISBAO protocols
* Assisting the Flight Scheduler in planning trips for flights based on fuel requirements and potential delays due to weather conditions or other factors
* Scheduling crew members’ time off and ensuring that they are properly trained rested and qualified for their positions
* Evaluating crew member performance and acting as a mentor to help them improve their skills
* Overseeing all aspects of flight operations including hiring new employees, conducting training programs, and arranging for aircraft maintenance
This position will serve Rheem Manufacturing USA and its divisions Division, located at Peachtree Dekalb Airport, Atlanta Georgia.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Participate in weekly ops meeting
* Manage Airplane checklists liase with Pilot body and Checklist vendor ensuring compliance with all aspects of our Rheem Aviation FOM.
* Manage and Audit Rheem Aviation Personnel training files.
* Maintain compliance of our Rheem Aviation Training program by attending events and courses ensuring we are constantly informed of opportunities to improve and enhance our personnel skill set.
* Assist SMS manager when needed for incident investigations, you may be asked for assistance in developing a Corrective Action Plan.
* Audit training vendors.
* Annually produce a budget for Rheem Aviation Training program.
* Mentor Line Pilots.
* Evaluate Line Pilots skill attitude and abilities to carry out their jobs.
* Fly the line as a scheduled crew member.
WHAT YOU NEED
* NBAA Certified Aviation Manager
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , or related field.
* Must have 7-10 years and 4000-5000 hours flying experience as a Line pilot and 2-3 years tied to a leadership role in any aspect of aviation or project management. .
* Able to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, engineers, business teams) and external subject matter experts
* Experience working within a Part 135 or Part 91 Aviation department.
* Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, and administrative skills
* Must demonstrate the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Great presentation and communication skills
* Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
