Rennia Global is in search of a dedicated full-time Chief Pilot to join our team.

The Regulatory Chief Pilot reports to the DO. The CP must have the experience required by FAR 119.69 and 119.71, and must be highly knowledgeable of the GOM, FAR, operations specifications, aircraft flight manuals, and any other items pertaining to his/her duties. The CP has operational control, and in the absence of the DO, will assume all duties and responsibilities.

The specific duties, responsibilities, and authority are as follows:

1. Assumes the duties of the Director of Operations in his absence, including, but not limited to, the responsibility for the safety and operational control of all flights conducted under 14 CFR Part 135;

2. Assists the DO in formulating operating policies.

3. Is the focal point for Rennia Global FAR 91 Airplanes (LOA) and Contract Pilots.

3.1. >Designs and maintains a Rennia Global “How To” Guide for the 91 LOA Operation;

3.2. >Vets 91 Contract Pilots for qualification prior to use and maintains a list of such

pilots.

4. Is the focal point for Flight Operation fleet changes. Supports the DO with technical information for OpSpec changes etc

5. Maintains current aircraft checklists together with the Fleet Chief Pilot.

6. Ensures that a flight kit appropriate to the type of flight (i.e., international, overwater) is onboard the aircraft.

7. Ensures that Rennia Global provides the appropriate and current aeronautical charts for each flight.

8. Unless the Manager of Training position is filled, Serve as the point of contact with contracted training organizations, as necessary, and assure that the company’s training program is being conducted in accordance with contract specifications and meets the requirements of FAR 135;

9. Assures flight crew members are properly trained and current for the type of operations they conduct and that their training is properly documented;

10. Supervises flight crew members to ensure their proper training and continued qualifications are in compliance with FARs and company policies and procedures;

11. Inform pilots, through verbal and written communications, of changing company policies and procedures;

12. Reviews and certifies training records;

13. Approves payments for pilot expenses, various training providers and other suppliers;

14. Orders and distribute navigational material.

15. Serves as a member of the Safety Committee to promote the Safety and Quality Management System

15.1. >Identify and evaluate Safety Hazards

15.2. >Take action to eliminate hazards or to reduce risk to an acceptable level

15.3. >Promote aviation safety including the exchange of safety related information

The Chief Pilot must be highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, flight manuals, etc., and other instructions pertinent to his duties. In the Director of Operation’s absence, the Chief Pilot is authorized to exercise Operational in higher levels of confidence in safety outcomes at all levels of an organization. Control under FAR 135.77.

Preferences given to candidates who:

Live within driving distance of ILG.

Has previous experience in DO, CP, Training Manager or SMS Manager positions.

Performed duties of 135 check pilot.

International flight experience and knowledge of NAT/HLA procedures.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Must pass Reference and Background check.
