George J. Priester Aviation, a premier provider of private aviation services renowned for safety, excellence, and customer satisfaction, seeks a highly skilled First Officer to join its dynamic team. This position, based in Melbourne, Florida, offers a competitive salary of $150,000 annually.

The First Officer/Second in Command (SIC) supports the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, a Falcon 2000EX, by assisting the Pilot in Command (PIC). This role entails close collaboration with the PIC to ensure all flight operations adhere to company policies, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and industry standards. The SIC is crucial in monitoring aircraft systems, communicating with flight services, and ensuring a seamless passenger experience. The position demands a high degree of professionalism, safety consciousness, and customer service aptitude. This is a two-pilot flight department with operations of approximately 200-400 hours per year.

Essential duties include: assisting in flight operations encompassing weather analysis, routing, aircraft performance calculations, and pre-flight inspections; monitoring instrumentation and aircraft systems; operating navigational and communication radios; maintaining crew coordination and communication, engaging in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS); assisting with pre-flight inspections, post-flight procedures and documentation; being alert to abnormal situations; and providing excellent customer service to passengers.

Candidates must possess 1500-2500 total flight hours, including 100 hours in multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft; turbine experience is preferred. A Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine instrument rating or higher and a current First-Class Medical Certificate are mandatory. Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations, excellent communication and decision-making skills, proficiency in CRM and flight management systems are required. The candidate must have the ability to lift over 50 pounds, hold a valid passport, and be willing to travel for extended periods.
