Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a leader in aircraft management and global jet charter services since 1977, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream G450 based in Atlanta, GA (KPDK). This Part 135 operation demands a professional committed to safety, exceptional service, and unwavering adherence to regulatory compliance.
Purpose of the Role:
The PIC bears ultimate responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the assigned aircraft. This role necessitates meticulous adherence to all company and regulatory standards while consistently delivering an unparalleled customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Executing comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance determinations for each flight.
- Leading thorough pre-flight briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to proactively mitigate operational risks.
- Adhering strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating effectively with internal personnel. Acting as the Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conducting comprehensive pre-flight aircraft inspections, verifying maintenance status, and documenting any discrepancies according to SOPs.
- Overseeing and ensuring adherence to SOPs for all aircraft ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen replenishment.
- Providing detailed passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Delivering superior customer service and catering to the unique needs of all passengers, including those with physical limitations.
- Employing effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of operation.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing consistently high-quality service to owners and passengers, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the overall EJM service experience and effectively resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating seamlessly with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to maintain a consistently superior service experience for all clients. Addressing and resolving conflicts and challenges professionally and effectively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining current certifications, training, and recency of experience as required by regulations and company policy.
- Adhering fully to the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and promptly reporting any safety concerns or instances of non-compliance through established channels.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type Rating in the applicable fleet is mandatory.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
