Position Summary

Executive Jet Management is seeking highly qualified candidates for a homebased Second in Command (SIC) position within EJM Crew Services, specifically flying the Gulfstream G450, G550, and GV aircraft. This role is integral to providing dedicated flight support for various EJM Part 91 and Part 135 accounts. The Second in Command Pilot is directly responsible to the Chief Pilot, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flight duties.

Key aspects of this position include:

  • **Schedule:** Pilots select five days off per month.
  • **Monthly Flying:** The pilot is scheduled for 16 flying days each month. Compensation is provided for any additional days worked beyond the scheduled 16 days.
  • **Trip Profile:** Trips may involve varying day lengths and destinations, encompassing both domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities

The Second in Command Pilot performs duties in strict adherence to the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other relevant instructions. This role is critical in upholding the company's standards for safety, security, and quality through continuous compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations via the designated processes.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Performing pilot duties in accordance with all applicable regulations and company procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and participating in relevant reporting.
  • Conducting post-flight duties for the aircraft interior, including debris removal from the cockpit, removing ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • Arranging and obtaining required cabin items and catering as identified by the Flight Operations Center.
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Coordinating work schedules and changes with the Chief Pilot.
  • Logging and reporting flight and duty times accurately.
  • Reporting all commercial flying performed outside EJM to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in Flight and Duty Time Records.
  • Maintaining a current First Class Medical Certificate and providing a copy to the Flight Operations Training Department by the twentieth of the month it is due.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following certifications, experience, skills, and abilities:

Certifications and Licenses:

FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate

First Class Medical Certificate (must maintain validity)

Experience:

Minimum of 2-4 years of aviation experience.

Minimum Flight Time Requirements:

  • Total Flight Time: 2500 hours
  • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
  • Pilot in Command (PIC): 500 hours
  • Instrument: 150 hours
  • Jet: 250 hours
  • Turbine Engine: 100 hours
  • Time in Type: 50 hours (preferred in Gulfstream G450, G550, or GV, or similar aircraft size experience)

Preference is given to local candidates with relevant Gulfstream or similar aircraft size experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs):

  • Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-level priorities effectively.
  • Proactive decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to uphold stringent service standards within a complex and evolving regulatory environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Capability to obtain a FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet type if not already possessed.
