Purpose of Position
This position is for a Pilot in Command (PIC) on a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Las Vegas, NV (KHND). This role is not commutable; therefore, applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area.
The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. The PIC is required to adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Pilot in Command is responsible for:
Ensuring the Safe Operation of Flight:
- Confirming crew staffing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completing necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizing Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to conduct required briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complying with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as needed.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
- Completing all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing the aircraft's maintenance status, to ensure mission capability.
- Recording all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitoring and overseeing all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) to ensure completion in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings in compliance with company policy and regulation.
- Delivering the highest level of customer service and addressing any special needs of passengers.
- Employing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all operational phases.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing quality service to aircraft owners and passengers while identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Investigating and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent service experience.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges effectively.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining all required regulatory and company training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs)
Qualified candidates should possess:
- The ability to reside in or relocate to Las Vegas, NV.
- Prior experience operating under FAA Part 135 regulations.
- An FAA Type Rating for the G450/V/550 series is strongly preferred.
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
