Pilot in Command - Gulfstream G550
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a pioneer in aircraft management and worldwide jet charter services since 1977, is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream G550 aircraft based in Henderson, Nevada (KHND). As a subsidiary of NetJets, Executive Jet Management offers unrivaled resources and operational stability within the world's largest private aviation infrastructure. This is a 3-pilot account, supported by a dedicated maintenance technician, operating under EJM's P135 certificate. The aircraft will fly approximately 500 hours per year. This position is not commutable, and applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Las Vegas area.
The Pilot in Command holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. He or she complies with all company and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel.
- Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator, as defined by company policy.
- Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness, and records all discrepancies per company SOPs.
- Ensures aircraft ground servicing (fueling, oil, oxygen) is monitored and accomplished per SOPs.
- Completes passenger briefings according to company policy and regulation, delivering exceptional customer service and meeting special needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate effectively with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and resolving service deviations.
- Collaborates with crew members and EJM internal partners to provide a consistent service experience, resolving conflict acceptably.
- Maintains regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company SMS program and reports safety or non-compliance concerns.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:
- Must reside in or relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Prior P135 experience is required.
- FAA Type rating G450/V/550 series strongly preferred.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Base Salary Range:
- Large/Heavy/Premium Cabin: $160,000 - $425,000
