An Exceptional Opportunity Awaits
EJM is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pilot in Command to join its team in support of a Gulfstream G450 based at Gary/Chicago International Airport (GYY) in Gary, IN. This position offers a unique opportunity to further your aviation career within a well-established and respected organization.
This is a three-pilot account, flying approximately 300-350 hours annually under Part 91 and internal Part 135 operations (no retail charter). The aircraft is supported by a dedicated, full-time Maintenance Technician and housed in its own hangar space.
Work-Life Balance is Key
The aircraft owner prioritizes a healthy work-life balance, with most trips planned one to two months in advance. The three-pilot crew structure (Lead, PIC, and SIC) ensures manageable workloads and ample time for personal commitments. International trips are scheduled with significant lead time to allow for thorough preparation and crew coordination. Travel home between flight segments is also frequently approved.

Responsibilities:
Ensuring Safe Flight Operations
- Guaranteeing all crewing and trip assignments adhere to company regulations and industry standards.
- Executing meticulous flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight.
- Employing a comprehensive Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to minimize operational risks and foster clear communication.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborating effectively with EJM personnel.
- Acting as designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policies.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections, verifying aircraft maintenance status, and diligently documenting any discrepancies.
- Overseeing all ground servicing procedures (fueling, oil, oxygen, etc.) ensuring strict adherence to established SOPs.
- Delivering professional passenger briefings that meet both company and regulatory standards, while providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs.
- Utilizing strong Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) skills to maintain clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during all phases of flight.
Delivering Exceptional Service
- Providing owners and passengers with an unparalleled travel experience, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service.
- Proactively identifying and resolving service deviations, ensuring customer satisfaction remains paramount.
- Collaborating seamlessly with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to deliver a consistent and exceptional experience for all passengers.
- Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively and professionally.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance
- Remaining current on all regulatory and company-mandated training, maintaining the highest levels of professional competency.
- Adhering to the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and promptly reporting any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate
- First Class Medical Certificate
- 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is highly desirable
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet (Gulfstream G450)
- Ability to perform all essential job functions
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
