Regional Chief Pilot - Northeast
Executive Jet Management (EJM) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Chief Pilot to oversee all aspects of pilot management and operations within the Northeast region, with a specific focus on the New York Metro area. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Part 91/135 operations within the designated territory, ensuring the safe and compliant execution of flight duties. While flight crew qualifications are preferred, they are not required for this non-14 CFR 119 position.
Responsibilities:
- Pilot Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for pilots and crew members, addressing inquiries, concerns, and opportunities related to flight operations.
- Compliance: Maintain adherence to company and regulatory policies and procedures for all pilots and crew members.
- Pilot Engagement: Foster a strong communication and collaboration culture among pilots, prioritizing team cohesion, fitness for duty, and effective cockpit relationship management.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Collaborate with internal departments during pilot onboarding and offboarding processes, including interviewing, training, scheduling, aircraft conformity, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, and other related activities.
- Account Management: Partner with Owner Services, Sales, Human Resources, Safety, Fleet Maintenance, and other stakeholders to ensure account readiness, including staffing, training, and flight currency.
- Owner Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for aircraft owners on all pilot-related matters.
- Policy Development: Support the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations in developing, implementing, and enforcing company policies and procedures, as well as other assigned initiatives.
- Incident Management: Engage with pilots concerning aviation incidents or events, ensuring accurate reporting and timely follow-up.
- Mentorship: In collaboration with the Account Lead Pilot, provide regular mentorship and support to newly hired pilots during their first year of employment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Flight Operations, Dispatch, Operational Control, or a comparable field.
- Thorough understanding of FAA regulations governing Part 91, Part 135, and Part 119.
- Familiarity with IACO SARPS and international operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to effectively manage responsibilities in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in global Part 135 operations.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary range: $200,000 - $355,000.
