Second in Command - Challenger 300

This position is based in Jacksonville, FL (KJAX). The successful candidate must reside within a 1-2 hour driving distance of Jacksonville, FL. The Second in Command is responsible to the Chief Pilot for the performance of assigned duties involved in the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments, and to the Pilot in Command (PIC) for duties assigned by the PIC for a scheduled trip. This is a four-pilot account supported by a Maintenance Technician flying under Part 135 regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pilot duties in accordance with the Company General Operations Manual (GOM), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other pertinent instructions.
- Ensure company goals for safety, security, and quality are met through continuous compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program, reporting any safety, security, or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.
- Responsible for the post-flight of the aircraft interior, including removing debris from the cockpit area, ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting any interior equipment discrepancies to the PIC.
- Arrange and obtain cabin items, including catering, as required for a flight and identified by the Flight Operations Center, providing the highest level of customer service at all times.
- Coordinate all work schedules and schedule changes with the Chief Pilot.
- Log and report flight and duty times.
- Report all commercial flying performed outside the Company to the Flight Operations Center for inclusion in the Flight and Duty Time Records.
- Maintain and provide the Flight Operations Training Department with a copy of his/her First Class Medical Certificate by the twentieth (20th) of the month due.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple high-level priorities.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- Must maintain a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must be willing to obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable Fleet type.
- Ability to uphold a high service standard in a strict and changing regulatory environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
