Boeing 737 Chief Pilot

Job Summary:
The Chief Pilot reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of flight crewmember supervision, ensuring the highest standards of proficiency, safety, and standardization in flight operations and personnel management.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Supervise flight crewmembers, verifying their qualifications and adherence to FAA and company regulations.
- Ensure that all crew members meet company standards.
- Oversee general supervision of flight crew members and their scheduled assignments.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations in developing new flight operations policies, practices, and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Operations in selecting Instructors and Check Airmen.
- Exercise operational control over company aircraft in the temporary absence of the Director of Operations.
- Contribute to standardizing aircraft procedures across different aircraft types.
- Implement new and approved flight operations policies, practices, and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Operations in projecting pilot staffing and experience requirements for new hires and upgrade opportunities, including interviewing pilot applicants, processing upgrade requests, and making selection decisions.
- Maintain the currency of all flight crew records.
- Notify the Director of Training when a pilot requires remedial training, providing a written description of the required area for review.
- Remove crewmembers from line status if they fail to meet company standards.
Requirements:
- Possess all qualifications outlined in FAA 14 CFR ยง119.65 and demonstrate extensive knowledge of FAA part 121 regulations.
- Hold a type rating in either a Boeing 727 or Boeing 737 aircraft.
- Previous experience as a Chief Pilot, in management, or as an extensive Check Airman will be given additional consideration.
- Be on-site and willing to relocate.
- Possess a Boeing 737 or Boeing 727 Type rating.
- Hold a Check Airman certification.
