Jet Linx, a premier private aviation company, is actively seeking highly qualified and motivated aviation professionals for the full-time position of Second in Command (SIC) on its Citation Latitude Super Midsize jet aircraft. This opportunity is based in Teterboro, NJ, and is integral to the company's commitment to excellence in both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Prospective candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a 2-hour call-out radius of the Teterboro home base.
Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) serves a critical role, reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This position is responsible for meticulously preparing and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company aircraft. The SIC will operate in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures, contributing to Jet Linx's uncompromising safety standards and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
The Second in Command will be entrusted with a range of essential functions, including:
- Efficiently managing duty, flight, and rest times in full compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Maintaining clear and consistent communication with company dispatch and operations for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position reporting, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reports.
- Diligently managing and ensuring the operational readiness of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Verifying that all required navigation charts, publications, and company operational manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintaining a current First Class Medical Certificate, as required by aviation regulations.
- Consistently demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills in dynamic operational environments.
- Upholding and exemplifying Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions and operational duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Prospective candidates for the Second in Command position must meet the following minimum flight experience requirements:
- Total Time: 1500 hours
- Total Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 150 hours
Additional Requirements
- Possession of an Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current, valid passport with unrestricted international travel capabilities, including to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required by regulations.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 flight operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Physical ability to frequently move up to 50 pounds, with the majority of work conducted in and around aircraft and airport terminals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Initial or recurrent FAA Part 142 training in Citation Latitude type within the last 24 months is highly preferred.

The starting base annual salary for this pivotal role ranges from $124,000 to $160,000, with the actual compensation package determined by geographic location, specific aircraft size and crew position, and the candidate’s relevant education, training, and experience.
