Second in Command – Falcon 900EZ

Jet Linx is seeking a qualified Second in Command (SIC) candidate for its heavy jet aircraft, specifically the Falcon 900EZ. This position supports Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. The successful applicant must reside in or be willing to relocate to the base area, ensuring the ability to meet a 2-hour call out time from their home base.
Position Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. The SIC plays a crucial role in preparing for and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Total Time - 2500 hours
- Total PIC - 500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine - 500 hours
- Total Turbine - 100 hours
- Total Instrument - 150 hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages duty, flight, and rest times in adherence to company and CFR requirements.
- Maintains consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintains and manages Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensures navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Maintains a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrates strong, proactive decision-making skills during all phases of operation.
- Embodies Jet Linx's core values in all interactions and operational duties.
Additional Requirements:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Holds an ATP (Unrestricted) certificate.
- Holds a 1st Class Medical certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing when required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to consent to and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational demands.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- Work is primarily conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation & Benefits:
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to its team members. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $170,000. The actual base salary offered is dependent upon geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), and the relevant education, training, and experience of the candidate. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
