Second in Command (SIC) - Heavy Jet Operations
Jet Linx is actively recruiting qualified Second in Command (SIC) pilots to join its esteemed flight operations team. This pivotal role involves supporting the safe and efficient operation of the company's heavy jet aircraft across both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Ideal candidates will reside within or demonstrate a willingness to relocate to the designated base area, ensuring a readiness for deployment within a two-hour call-out time.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command (SIC) plays a crucial role in the preparation and execution of company aircraft operations. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all flights are conducted in strict adherence to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and established company procedures, prioritizing safety and operational excellence at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 2,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Engine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Flight Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions
- Meticulously manage duty, flight, and rest periods in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain proactive communication with company operations for duty assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and comprehensive pre- and post-flight reporting.
- Proficiently manage and maintain Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensure the currency and accuracy of all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Maintain a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Exhibit strong, decisive, and proactive decision-making skills in dynamic flight environments.

Additional Qualifications
- Preference for recent (within 24 months) initial or recurrent 142 training in an applicable aircraft type.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a U.S. Driver's License.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid U.S. Passport.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the demonstrated ability to obtain one.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radio Telephone Operator Permit (RTOP) or equivalent.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with random drug and alcohol testing protocols.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to all European Union (EU), Canadian, and Caribbean countries.
- Authorization to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database (PRD) review, conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
- The majority of work is performed in and around aircraft and associated terminal facilities.
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Jet Linx is pleased to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support its valued team members. The starting base annual salary for this Second in Command position ranges from $135,000 to $170,000. The final base salary will be determined based on factors including geographic location, aircraft size, relevant education, specialized training, and overall experience of the candidate. The comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, generous paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
