Position Purpose

EJM is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Challenger 605 aircraft based at Boca Raton, FL (KBCT). This position operates within a two-pilot account, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, and conducts operations under Part 135. The Pilot in Command holds final responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner while delivering an exceptional service experience.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Operations and Safety

  • Ensure all crew and trip assignments remain compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
  • Lead briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and act as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections, monitor aircraft maintenance status, and document all discrepancies per SOPs.
  • Oversee ground servicing, including fueling, oil, and oxygen levels.
  • Conduct passenger briefings and provide superior customer service, including accommodations for passengers with special needs.
  • Utilize Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) for effective communication during all flight phases.

Service Excellence

  • Provide high-quality service to owners and passengers and identify opportunities for service enhancement.
  • Investigate and resolve service deviations promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and fellow crew members to ensure a consistent experience and professional conflict resolution.

Compliance and Proficiency

  • Maintain all regulatory and company-mandated training and currency requirements.
  • Comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS) and report all safety or non-compliance concerns.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 4–6 years of professional aviation experience.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
  • Valid FAA Type rating for the applicable fleet.
  • Total flight time: 3,500 hours.
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours.
  • Pilot in Command (PIC) time: 2,000 hours.
  • PIC MEL time: 500 hours.
  • Instrument time: 300 hours.
  • Jet time: 500 hours.
