Lead Captain - Falcon 7X

Position Summary:
Reporting to the regional chief pilot, the Lead Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all assigned flight operations. The Lead Captain holds the ultimate authority for the safe conduct of every flight, ensuring adherence to company operating policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: Safely operate the Falcon 7X aircraft, determining departure times, routes, and flight cancellations based on weather or other relevant factors.
- Compliance: Ensure all flight operations comply with all federal, local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Crew Coordination: Coordinate flight schedules, training, and resource allocation with the flight crew, customer service representatives, and supplemental crew members.
- Aircraft Maintenance: Liaise with the Maintenance Manager regarding aircraft servicing, cleaning, and any necessary repairs.
- Record Keeping: Oversee the submission and review of flight and duty records, along with other required documentation.
- Training and Development: Coordinate crew member training and check rides, conduct annual performance reviews, and mentor and coach crew members to foster their professional growth.
- Safety and Reporting: Take an active role in promoting a culture of safety, reporting all safety hazards and concerns, and immediately reporting any hazardous action, conduct, or event to the chief pilot and director of safety.
- Representation: Represent Jet Aviation internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a valid Falcon 7X type rating.
- Hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 4,000 hours of total fixed-wing flight time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of multi-engine land flight time.
- Minimum 2,000 hours of pilot-in-command experience.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of turbojet flight time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours of turbine flight time.
- Minimum 100 hours of night flight time.
- Minimum 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument flight time.
- Five years of aviation experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and travel extensively worldwide without any restrictions.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, handle, feel, reach, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The Lead Captain will work in both a heavy maintenance environment and upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate, with occasional high volumes when aircraft arrive and depart. Employees will be exposed to vibration, occasional fuel fumes, and various weather conditions. The hangar environment may experience extreme hot and cold temperatures during certain seasons.
