Position Summary
Jet Aviation is seeking a highly professional, flexible, dynamic, and motivated G650 Captain for a permanent contract. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, coupled with an enthusiasm and passion for delivering an unparalleled flight experience to clients. The G650 Captain holds overall responsibility for the safe operation of the assigned aircraft and serves as the company's official representative throughout the duration of flight duty. This critical role encompasses ensuring the safety and well-being of all crew members, passengers, and cargo from pre-boarding until the aircraft is securely parked post-flight. This position reports directly to the Director of Flight Operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures the safety of all crew members, passengers, and cargo onboard.
- Complies with all operational procedures and checklists as stipulated in the Operations Manual (FOM).
- Verifies that all crew members are at their assigned stations prior to take-off, final approach, and landing.
- Prohibits any crew member from performing activities during take-off, initial climb, final approach, and landing, other than duties essential for safe aircraft operation.
- Ensures flight data and cockpit voice recorders are not disabled or erased, unless data conservation is required for incident/accident investigation and automatic erasure would otherwise occur.
- Coordinates work distribution within the flight crew to maximize airmanship during flight conduct.
- Ensures precise navigation and strict observation of minimum altitudes.
- Adheres to limitations of all aircraft systems and ensures proper use and handling of the aircraft.
- Enforces the strict use of checklists.
- Confirms that sufficient usable fuel remains to reach a safe landing airport with final reserve fuel intact.
- Maintains close contact with cabin crew to ensure compliance with all cabin safety requirements.
- Completes all required flight and technical logs accurately.
- Files written occurrence and accident reports as necessary.
- Maintains familiarity with relevant aviation regulations, JBJH/JBJS operations manual, and agreed aviation practices pertinent to the role.
- Upholds a high standard of discipline, conduct, and appearance as a company representative.
- Complies with regulations outlined in the Operations Manual (FOM) and the Air Navigation Order (ANO).
- Ensures all passengers are thoroughly briefed on emergency exit locations and the use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
- Represents Jet Aviation as a unified entity, both internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with G650 type rating (FAA, UK, or EASA).
- More than 500 hours of flight experience on type (G650).
