Captain – Gulfstream 500

Position Summary
The Captain reports to the Lead Captain and holds ultimate authority for the safe and efficient conduct of all assigned flights. Responsibilities encompass adherence to company policies, procedures, and all applicable federal and local regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and quality.
Minimum Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Gulfstream 500 Type Rating
- Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
- 4000 hours Total Fixed-Wing Flight Time
- 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land
- 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command Time
- 1500 hours Turbojet Time
- 1500 hours Turbine Time
- 100 hours Night Flight Time
- 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument Flight Time
- 5 years of aviation experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules and extensive international travel
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
The Captain's duties include, but are not limited to:
- Safe aircraft operation, including flight planning and decision-making regarding flight cancellations.
- Strict adherence to all applicable regulations and company procedures.
- Implementation of necessary flight adjustments based on en-route conditions.
- Maintaining safe and prudent flight operations.
- Accurate completion of all flight documentation.
- Comprehensive briefing and coordination with the First Officer.
- Timely reporting of aircraft discrepancies.
- Ensuring flight crew fitness for duty.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all aircraft systems.
- Securing the aircraft post-flight.
- Obtaining current weather information and filing flight plans.
- Analyzing flight charts.
- Performing TSA Flight Security Coordinator duties, as applicable.
- Conducting passenger safety briefings.
- Mentoring the First Officer.
- Timely submission of reports.
- Active participation in safety reporting.
- Representing Jet Aviation professionally.
