Job Summary:
The Citation XLS Captain is responsible for leading the assigned flight crew, maintaining the highest standards of proficiency and competence, and ensuring that all flights are conducted in strict adherence to company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. This individual will oversee the First Officer and provide exceptional service and support to all passengers and clients.
Core Schedule:
This position requires a commitment of 17 scheduled duty days per month, with opportunities for optional overtime for premium pay. While P91 owner trips may occur outside the 17 scheduled duty days, these will not be eligible for overtime pay.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts aircraft operations in accordance with established procedures and company manuals.
- Ensures the accurate and timely completion of all flight, aircraft, and passenger records.
- Supervises and directs other crew members in their assigned duties.
- Ensures adherence to flight/duty time limitations and rest period regulations.
- Maintains current 1st class medical certification.
- Reviews flight and maintenance logs to ensure aircraft airworthiness and coordinates with maintenance personnel as necessary.
- Ensures proper preflight, post-flight, and routine aircraft servicing.
- Coordinates client requests for itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center.
- Performs the duties of Ground and In-flight Security Coordinators.
- Ensures all required manuals, charts, and equipment are current and onboard the aircraft.
- Verifies that all crew members and passengers possess the required documentation for international travel.
- Ensures international arrivals and departures are conducted in accordance with regulations.
- Maintains positive client relations through friendly and efficient service.
- Exercises operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations.
- Ensures that no person other than a flight crewmember is allowed to manipulate aircraft controls.
- Documents engine trend monitoring data as requested by the Maintenance Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3,000 Hours Total Flying Time
- 1,500 Hours Total Pilot-In-Command (PIC) Time
- 500 Hours Multi PIC Time
- 250 Hours PIC in Type Time
- 250 Turbine PIC Time
Preferred Qualifications:
- ATP Qualified
- Comprehensive understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135 and Part 91.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, email, and web-based systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Professional appearance at all times.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Successful completion of background check and drug test.
- Ability to read and respond to email communications.
