Hawker 800XP Pilot in Command

Jet Access is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command for a Hawker 800XP aircraft, operating under Part 135 regulations. This individual will be based in Indianapolis, IN, and will report directly to the Fleet Chief Pilot. The successful candidate will be a vital member of a growing enterprise, contributing to a team dedicated to providing premier private air travel experiences. This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $175,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary:

The Pilot in Command is responsible for leading the assigned aircraft flight crew, ensuring all flights are conducted in compliance with company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. This position requires maintaining proficiency on the Hawker 800XP and providing exceptional service and support to aircraft owners, passengers, and clients. The Pilot in Command also oversees the First Officer in all flight duties.

Core Schedule:

The position offers a schedule of 17 scheduled duty days per month, with opportunities for optional overtime for additional premium pay. Occasional Part 91 owner trips may also occur outside of the scheduled duty days.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct aircraft operations in accordance with established policies and manuals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of flight, aircraft, and passenger records.
  • Supervise other crewmembers in the performance of their duties.
  • Maintain compliance with flight/duty time limitations and rest periods.
  • Complete initial or recurrent training phases within the preceding 12 months.
  • Maintain a current 1st class medical certification.
  • Review flight and maintenance logs to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
  • Coordinate aircraft maintenance with appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure proper pre-flight, post-flight, and routine aircraft servicing.
  • Coordinate client itinerary changes with the Operations Control Center.
  • Perform Ground and In-flight Security Coordinator duties.
  • Ensure all required manuals, charts, and equipment are current and onboard the aircraft.
  • Verify that crewmembers and passengers have necessary travel documentation.
  • Conduct international arrivals and departures in compliance with regulations.
  • Foster positive client relations through efficient and friendly service.
  • Exercise operational control on behalf of the Director of Operations.
  • Ensure only authorized personnel manipulate aircraft controls.
  • Document engine trend monitoring data as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3,000 Hours Total Flying Time
  • 1,500 Hours Total Pilot-In-Command (PIC) Time
  • 500 Hours Multi PIC Time
  • 250 Hours PIC in Type Time
  • 250 Turbine PIC Time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ATP Qualified
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Parts 135 and 91.
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, email, and web-based software.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Professional and well-groomed appearance.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug test.
  • Effective email communication skills.
