Pilot in Command – Citation XLS/XLS+
Full-Time – Omaha, NE
Jet Linx is actively seeking highly qualified Pilot in Command candidates to operate Midsize jet aircraft for Part 91 and 135 flight operations. The successful candidate is expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of the Omaha, NE base.
Position Summary
The Pilot in Command (PIC) reports directly to the Base Chief Pilot. This pivotal role is responsible for preparing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft, strictly adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Time - 3500 hours
- Total PIC - 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type - 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type - 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine - 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC - 500 hours
- Total Turbine - 500 hours
- Total Instrument - 300 hours
Essential Functions
- Manages duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company requirements and Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
- Maintains consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position updates, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintains and manages Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and associated applications.
- Ensures navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily available.
- Holds and maintains a current 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrates strong, proactive decision-making capabilities.
- Embodies Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements
- Initial or Recurrent Part 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Possesses the ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Provides proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Holds a current passport.
- Possesses an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- Holds a current 1st Class Medical Certificate.
- Holds an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and comply with random drug/alcohol testing requirements.
- Holds unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to authorize and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Work is predominantly conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation
Jet Linx offers a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package to its team members. The starting base annual salary for the Pilot in Command position ranges from $145,000 to $200,000. The actual base salary is determined based on geographic location, aircraft size (crew positions), and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-provided life and short-term disability coverage.
