About the Role
A JSX Captain is an integral team member responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of JSX aircraft and the transportation of customers. They are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and adhere to all company and regulatory procedures.
Essential Qualifications for Direct Entry Captains:
- A minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time is required.
- A minimum of 1,000 hours of multi-engine, multi-crew jet flight time as Pilot in Command (PIC) is essential.
- Must possess a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must possess a valid and current passport.
- Must be fluent in the English language.
- Direct Entry Captains are experienced pilots with extensive multi-engine jet time in a two-crew environment.
- All new hire captains will complete all the training requirements for a Pilot in Command (PIC) and Second in Command (SIC), and upon successful completion of PIC initial operating experience and line check, will be assigned PIC duties within 4 months.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs all flight duties as assigned by the Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Maintains a current medical certificate as required by the company and notifies the Chief Pilot if a medical condition may impair the ability to perform flight duties.
- Maintains vigilance for unauthorized persons within the aircraft vicinity and ensures all passengers are escorted by a Ground Security Coordinator (GSC).
Physical Demands:
- Requires intermittent physical activity, including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting.
- Must be able to work all shifts.
- Ability to occasionally lift 5-50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally team lift 50+ pounds.
