Role Summary:
As a working leader, the Ground Service Team Captain will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Ground Service group. This includes leading, directing, motivating, and evaluating the performance of Ground Service Agents, while also performing their duties. The Team Captain plays a crucial role in achieving operational goals and ensuring adherence to company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead Ground Service Agents during shifts, ensuring team success in meeting Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines' objectives.

Uphold and enforce proper procedures among Ground Service Agents.

Perform leadership duties such as flight assignments, scheduling, and agent management.

Undertake clerical functions, prepare reports, and assist with unexpected passenger needs or complaints.

Perform Ground Service Agent duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 6 months of customer service or airline operations experience.

Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and motivate teams for optimal performance.

Strong active listening and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Possession of a valid, unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, territory, or the District of Columbia.

Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.

Physical capability to consistently lift 50 pounds.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Proficiency in bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and grasping.

Basic mathematics skills.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

English language proficiency.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum age of 18 years.

Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.

Previous leadership experience.
Compensation and Benefits:

Starting Rate: USD $21.54/Hr.

SIDA Badge Requirements: Employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge. Failure to qualify for or maintain a SIDA badge may result in termination.
