Requirements for being hired as a captain at Helvetic Airways
> 3,500 hours FAR/CS 25 aircraft in MP(A) operations, of which at least 1000 hours as PIC
Minimum age 25 years, maximum age 62 years
Valid passport, CH or EU-25/EFTA without restrictions
Hold an Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a valid Instrument Rating (IR) and a valid Class 1 Medical
Completed middle school or basic vocational training (apprenticeship qualification)
English: ICAO level 4 or higher
German: fluent language skills
Desired personality traits/skills of a captain
Takes clear responsibility for his actions
Strong leadership and teamwork skills
Communicates in a clear, authoritative and socially acceptable manner
Mature and loyal personality
Impeccable reputation
Competent in operationally relevant parts of the procedure (PANS OPS)
