Job Summary
The First Officer plays a critical role in ensuring safe and timely flight operations while consistently delivering exceptional customer service, adhering strictly to all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). This pivotal position involves comprehensive responsibilities for aircraft operation during designated duty periods, including scheduled weekend, holiday, and night operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the safe and timely completion of all flight operations in strict accordance with Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Operating the aircraft responsibly throughout the designated duty period, unless relieved by authorized Company personnel.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections to confirm the airworthy condition of the assigned aircraft.
- Acquiring comprehensive knowledge of existing and forecast weather conditions for departure, arrival, and alternate stations prior to each flight.
- Verifying that each flight is meticulously planned and appropriately fueled to ensure safe execution.
- Assisting with and overseeing the efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at terminal locations, prioritizing on-time departures.
- Communicating timely updates to the crew and passengers regarding turbulence, adverse weather, or any other operational factors impacting the flight.
- Reviewing the load manifest and accurately verifying passenger counts before each departure.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates for the First Officer position must meet the following stringent requirements:
- A minimum of 1,500 hours total flight time (2,500 hours preferred).
- 750 hours in multi-engine fixed-wing aircraft.
- 500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- 500 hours in jet or turboprop aircraft.
- Possession of a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Possess an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- A valid U.S. Passport with machine-readable print, or a valid foreign passport with explicit authorization to work in the United States, alongside the unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
- Demonstrated ability to travel to and from all domestic and international destinations served by Frontier Airlines.
- Willingness and capability to relocate as required.
- Flexibility and commitment to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overnight trips, including "red-eye" flights.
- A strong commitment to maintaining a well-groomed and professional appearance consistent with airline standards.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and comprehensive background checks.
- Experience with advanced aircraft avionics, including Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS), is preferred.
- Compliance with all company health policies, including any mandatory vaccination requirements for new hires as permitted by law.

Physical Requirements:
