Flight Instructor Job Description
The Flight Instructor is responsible for delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction in alignment with aviation regulations and FlightSafety Training principles. The ideal candidate ensures high-quality training delivery, maintains rigorous safety standards, and supports the professional development of aviation clients.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive pilot ground and simulator training for clients enrolled in core, specialty, or enrichment courses.

Develop and prepare training materials tailored to meet specific client needs and curriculum requirements.

Evaluate and measure trainee progress to provide recommendations for qualification or additional instruction.

Maintain accurate training records to ensure client success in achieving designated objectives.

Proactively identify training issues and seek necessary assistance to ensure operational excellence.

Maintain all personal instructor qualifications in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements

High school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency (G.E.D.) with two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able and willing to participate in the company's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
Minimum Experience

An unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or an ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License.

If no ATP is held, the candidate must meet the requirements of 14 CFR part 61.153 and 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.

Minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.

Preferred: Experience with FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training.

Preferred: 2,500 hours of total flight time.

Comprehensive knowledge of aviation safety standards, practices, and common aviation regulations.

Strong ability to manage classrooms and deliver effective instruction.
