Position Overview

The Flight Instructor plays a critical role in delivering exceptional ground and simulator flight instruction. Adhering to stringent aviation regulations and FlightSafety's renowned training principles, this individual will shape the next generation of aviation professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective ground and simulator training to clients enrolled in core, specialty, and enrichment courses.
• Design and develop comprehensive training materials tailored to meet specific client needs and curriculum requirements.
• Assess trainee progress through evaluations and recommend appropriate qualifications or additional training as needed.
• Maintain meticulous training records for each client, ensuring accuracy and supporting their successful achievement of objectives.
• Proactively identify potential training challenges and seek assistance to ensure seamless execution.
• Remain current with regulatory requirements and maintain all necessary Instructor qualifications.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

• Must be willing to participate in FlightSafety's DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
• Possess an unrestricted ATP certificate or an equivalent ICAO member state Airline Transport Pilot License.
• In lieu of an ATP, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • 14 CFR part 61.153
  • 14 CFR part 61.64 without a Supervised Operating Experience (SOE) limitation.
• Hold at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.
• Preferred: Experience in FAR Part 135, FAR Part 121, or military training environments.
• Preferred: 2,500 hours of total flight time.

Compensation and Benefits

FlightSafety International offers a competitive total rewards package commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary range for this position is $85,250.00 - $145,200.00. Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires the physical dexterity to operate simulator controls, including reaching, manipulating rudder controls, and entering/exiting the simulator device. Candidates must possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The role involves lifting up to 25 pounds and working near moving mechanical parts. The work environment may include exposure to various conditions, including high places, outside weather, fumes, extreme temperatures, and potential electrical hazards.
