Overview
CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to join our team in the pursuit of aviation excellence. In this role, the successful candidate will play a critical part in developing pilot confidence and skill through the delivery of high-quality simulator and ground training. The Instructor Pilot will lead training sessions, conduct thorough pre- and post-flight briefings, and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across assigned aircraft platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.

Conduct professional, comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.

Act as a subject matter expert for client training and internal course development.

Perform administrative duties, including completing training records, maintaining instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training.

Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5+ years, subject to business need.
Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.

Authorization to work in the United States.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

Desired: FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior instructional or training experience.

Unrestricted PIC Type Rating.

Experience flying business aircraft.

Falcon aircraft experience.

Ability to tailor training content to a diverse customer base.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards.

Demonstrated customer-service mindset and ability to create a positive learning environment.
Physical Requirements

Constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Occasionally move into different positions, including confined spaces.

Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods (standing or sitting).

Occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.

Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.

Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
