Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor
CAE is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor to join its Maintenance Training Center of Excellence in the United States. This pivotal role focuses on delivering expert instruction for Gulfstream G450, G550, G650, G500, and G600 aircraft, transitioning seasoned technicians into world-class aviation instructors.
About the Role
The Aircraft Maintenance Training Instructor will provide comprehensive theoretical and practical training to aviation professionals. This position involves leveraging deep technical expertise, developing engaging learning experiences, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). CAE supports the professional development of maintenance professionals into skilled instructors.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction using aircraft or simulation tools.

Administer theoretical examinations and practical assessments.

Maintain accurate training records for all customer training activities.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training material development and maintenance.

Support the creation of new training courses and modules.

Prepare training environments and materials before sessions.

Maintain current subject knowledge and complete recurrent training.

Provide a professional, customer-focused training experience.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Proven aircraft maintenance experience on Gulfstream G450, G550, G650, G500, or G600 aircraft.

Valid FAA A&P, Transport Canada AME, EASA, or equivalent aircraft maintenance license.

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Basic proficiency in computer applications.

Demonstrated customer focus and passion for knowledge sharing.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Desired Qualifications

Prior instructional or training experience, especially in aviation.

Advanced knowledge of aircraft maintenance training practices.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods during instruction.

Capability to lift, move, and carry equipment up to 25–30 lbs (11–14 kg).

Ability to climb stairs and access training devices or aircraft areas.

Capacity to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods.

Willingness to travel globally up to 30%, including long flights.

Sufficient mobility, vision, and dexterity for operating training devices and tools.
