Job Title: Air Weapons Systems Instructor

Role Overview

In this capacity, the Air Weapons Systems Instructor will act as a subject matter expert for the CF-18. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching specialized entry-level maintenance courses, delivering both theoretical and practical training for all CF-18 maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver classroom instruction on operating principles and facilitate hands-on maintenance training.
Provide mentorship and training in key areas, including Aircraft Maintenance Support Equipment (AMSE), suspension and release equipment, and weapon systems and guns.
Ensure compliance with technical regulations, health and safety protocols, flight safety standards, and tooling control procedures.
Manage documentation, including inspection sheets, logs, and maintenance records.
Review and update training materials, including ITFCs, work processes, and curriculum documentation.
Execute tasks as assigned by the Lead Instructor, Team Leader, or Supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience

High school or college diploma (or equivalent).
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in CF-18 maintenance.
Bilingual proficiency (English and French), with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and Windows environments.
Working knowledge of SAP.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize complex workflows.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Experience in quality control is considered an asset.

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
