Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking experienced Instructor Pilots dedicated to the pursuit of aviation excellence. In this role, the successful candidate will play a critical part in developing pilot confidence and skill through high-quality simulator and ground training. The Instructor Pilot will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), leading training sessions and conducting comprehensive briefings to ensure the highest standards of safety and proficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.

Conduct professional, comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for client training initiatives and internal course development.

Perform administrative duties, including maintaining accurate training records, managing instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training as necessary.

Provide instruction across various aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 18 months, subject to business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

Preferred: Unrestricted PIC Type Rating, Sovereign experience, FAR Part 135 experience, and 3,000+ total flight hours.

Preferred: Previous experience flying business aircraft.

Prior instructional or training experience.

Demonstrated ability to tailor training content to a diverse customer base.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards.

Strong customer-service mindset and the ability to foster a positive, effective learning environment.

Professional character with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements

Ability to constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Ability to occasionally maneuver into different positions, including confined spaces.

Capacity to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods (standing or sitting).

Occasional movement required to accomplish tasks.

Ability to occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.

Occasional performance of repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation:
$125,000 annually.
