Purpose of Position

The Simulator Second in Command plays a vital role in maintaining proficiency in assigned training programs. This individual acts as "Second-In-Command" alongside both internal and external customer pilots, participating in Recurrent, Initial, or generic training courses within the established curriculum.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Minimum Education

High school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency (G.E.D.) with two to three (2-3) years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior to assuming SIC duties, applicants must possess the following:

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires regular use of hands for fine motor skills, reaching with hands and arms, and clear verbal communication. The role may involve standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and utilizing senses of taste and smell.

Essential physical capabilities include:

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The role necessitates lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently.

The work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, varying weather conditions, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, radiation risks, and vibration. The noise level is generally moderate.
