Second in Command Pilot - Gulfstream G450 - Chicagoland Area
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks an experienced and motivated Second in Command (SIC) Pilot to join a dedicated crew operating a Gulfstream G450 based near Chicago, Illinois (GYY). Position Overview:
The SIC will be responsible for assisting the Pilot in Command (PIC) in all aspects of safe and efficient flight operations, adhering to company GOM, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and relevant safety procedures. This is a three-pilot account offering a balanced flying schedule of approximately 300-350 hours annually, encompassing both Part 91 and internal Part 135 operations (no retail charter).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient aircraft operation in accordance with all regulations and company procedures.
- Proactively contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and quality in line with the company's Safety Management System (SMS).
- Manage post-flight aircraft interior duties, including cleanliness and reporting discrepancies.
- Coordinate and procure catering and cabin necessities, providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the Chief Pilot for scheduling and maintain accurate flight and duty time records.
- Maintain a current First Class Medical Certificate and ensure timely submission of documentation.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Current First Class Medical Certificate.
- Minimum 2,500 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 500 hours multi-engine land (MEL) time.
- Minimum 500 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) time.
- Minimum 150 hours instrument time.
- Minimum 250 hours jet time.
- Minimum 100 hours turbine engine time.
- Minimum 50 hours time in type (G450 preferred).
Preferred Experience:
- Prior Gulfstream experience is highly desirable.
- Candidates residing within driving distance of Gary, Indiana (GYY) are strongly preferred.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
