Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 550
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 550 aircraft based at Bradley International Airport (KBDL) in Connecticut. This position entails operating within a multi-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, under Part 91 regulations. The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while providing an exceptional service experience.
The successful candidate will support a family with a long-standing history of aircraft ownership. The typical travel footprint for this aircraft is primarily domestic, with occasional international trips. While no fixed schedule exists, a three-pilot rotation ensures a comfortable work-life balance. This position is ideal for a safety-minded, service-oriented team player with exceptional attention to detail. Candidates must be local to the Tampa area (KTPA) or be willing to relocate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate or business aviation.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is required.
- FAA Type Rating in the Gulfstream 550 (G550) is required. A G650 rating is beneficial.
- Must be capable of performing all essential functions of the position.
- Total flight time of 3500 hours.
- 1500 hours Multi Engine Land experience.
- 2000 hours Pilot in Command experience.
- 500 hours Pilot in Command Multi Engine Land experience.
- 300 hours Instrument experience.
- 500 hours Jet experience.
