Position Summary

Executive Jet Management is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for a Pilot in Command position based in Tampa, Florida (KTPA). This role supports a Part 91 operation flying a Gulfstream G550 aircraft. The account operates with a two-pilot crew and is supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician. This well-established owner account has historically maintained an annual flight hour utilization of approximately 220 hours, contributing to a desirable work-life balance for the flight crew. Looking ahead, there are exciting plans for the aircraft to be upgraded to a Gulfstream G600 within the next year. This is a non-commutable position, requiring the selected candidate to reside in or relocate to the Tampa area. Previous experience in either the Gulfstream GV series or GVII series aircraft is a mandatory requirement for this role. The Pilot in Command holds the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Flight Operations and Safety Leadership:**
    • Ensures all crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory requirements.
    • Completes all necessary flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assigned flight.
    • Leads required briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to effectively mitigate operational risks.
    • Adheres strictly to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates effectively with company personnel as required.
    • Acts as the designated Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
    • Completes comprehensive aircraft pre-flight tasks, including assessing the maintenance status, to ensure the aircraft is fully mission capable.
    • Records all aircraft discrepancies accurately in accordance with company SOPs.
    • Monitors and ensures the proper accomplishment of all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) following SOPs.
    • Conducts thorough passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, delivering the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers.
    • Applies Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with the crew and support personnel during all phases of operation.
  • **Service Excellence Delivery:**
    • Provides quality service to aircraft owners and passengers, actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
    • Investigates and resolves service deviations promptly and effectively.
    • Collaborates seamlessly with fellow crew members and internal EJM partners to ensure a consistent and high-quality service experience.
    • Manages and resolves conflicts or challenges in a professional and acceptable manner.
  • **Professionalism and Compliance:**
    • Maintains all required regulatory and company training, ensuring ongoing recency of experience.
    • Complies fully with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program.
    • Reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through the appropriate established channels.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant aviation experience is required.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation is preferred.
  • Must hold an FAA Type Rating in the applicable fleet (Gulfstream G450/550 or G500/600).
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position is mandatory.
  • **Minimum Flight Time Requirements:**
    • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
    • PIC MEL: 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
  • Must possess verified experience in either the Gulfstream GV series or GVII series aircraft.
  • This is a non-commutable position based in Tampa, FL (KTPA).
