Pilot in Command - G550
Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company and a subsidiary of NetJets, seeks a qualified Pilot in Command for a G550 aircraft based in Tampa, FL (KTPA). This position involves a two-pilot operation supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under Part 91 regulations. This well-established account offers an attractive work-life balance, with the owner historically flying approximately 220 hours annually. Future plans include upgrading the aircraft to a G600 within the next year.
The Pilot in Command is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. The PIC adheres to all company and regulatory requirements while consistently delivering an exceptional service experience to passengers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with all company and regulatory requirements.
- Completes comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assignment.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to lead briefings and mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates effectively with company personnel. Serves as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections, including verifying the maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Accurately records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitors and ensures proper completion of all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducts passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations. Delivers superior customer service and attends to any special passenger needs.
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques to facilitate clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Provides exceptional service to owners and passengers, actively seeking opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience. Investigates and resolves service deviations effectively.
- Collaborates with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent and exceptional service experience. Addresses and resolves conflicts and challenges constructively.
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and ensures recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through established channels.
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of related experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
