Lead Pilot in Command
Executive Jet Management, a subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a qualified Lead Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Global 6000 aircraft based in Broomfield, Colorado. This position supports a three-pilot account with a dedicated Maintenance Technician, operating under both Part 91 and Part 135 regulations. The position, identified by Req ID 14937, falls under the Crewmembers area of interest.
The Lead Pilot in Command serves as a peer leader within the flight department, emphasizing effective crew resource management, client service excellence, and the diligent completion of flight department administrative duties. The Lead PIC actively participates in the flight schedule, adhering to all Pilot in Command duties and expectations, and maintains frequent communication with the EJM Regional Chief Pilot to foster team engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Leads Flight Department Success by managing client relationships, addressing issues and opportunities, and collaborating with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft compliance and maintenance tasks are completed.
- Completes duties such as invoice reviews, auditing, vendor relations, charter approvals, and crew scheduling.
- Supports and motivates flight department crew members, reporting any concerns to the Regional Chief Pilot.
- Handles flight department administration, including supplies, subscriptions, and crew schedules.
- Ensures the safe operation of flights by verifying crewing and trip assignments comply with regulations.
- Completes flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks.
- Utilizes Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Complies with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and acts as the Ground Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
- Completes pre-flight tasks, monitors aircraft servicing, and records discrepancies.
- Delivers passenger briefings and caters to special needs.
- Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM).
- Delivers an exceptional service experience by providing quality service to owners and passengers and resolving service deviations.
- Maintains Proficiency and Compliance with regulatory and company training requirements.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports safety concerns.
- Ensures crewmembers remain qualified and comply with company policies.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate required.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation preferred.
- FAA Type rating in applicable fleet required.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions associated with the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $315,000 - $320,000 annually.
