Regional Chief Pilot - Northeast
Executive Jet Management (EJM) is seeking an experienced and dedicated aviation professional to join their team as a Regional Chief Pilot for the Northeast region (excluding the New York City metro area). This pivotal role offers a unique blend of leadership, management, and potential flight crew opportunities.
The Position:
The Regional Chief Pilot serves as a primary point of contact for all Part 91/135 operations within the assigned territory, encompassing New York (excluding the NYC metro area), Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. This individual will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of pilots, ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory policies, and acting as a liaison between flight crews and aircraft owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pilots and crew members, addressing questions, concerns, and opportunities related to flight operations.
- Ensure pilot and crew compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication, team collaboration, and strong cockpit resource management.
- Collaborate with internal departments on pilot onboarding and offboarding processes, including interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
- Partner with Owner Services, Sales, Human Resources, Safety, Fleet Maintenance, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless account management and mission readiness.
- Act as a primary point of contact for aircraft owners on all pilot-related matters.
- Support the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations in policy development, implementation, and compliance.
- Engage with pilots regarding aviation incidents or events, ensuring accurate reporting and timely follow-up.
- Mentor and support newly hired pilots during their first year of employment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, or equivalent work experience.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Flight Operations, Dispatch, Operational Control, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations governing Part 91, Part 135, and Part 119.
- Familiarity with ICAO SARPS and international operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Previous experience in global Part 135 operations is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers a competitive base salary range of $200,000 - $355,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. EJM provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
