Position Summary

Executive Jet Management is seeking highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command candidates to join an established flight department. This position is centered around operations with a new 2024 Citation Longitude aircraft, based in Council Bluffs, Iowa (CBF airport), serving clients near Omaha, Nebraska. This is a dedicated three-pilot account, comprehensively supported by an on-site Maintenance Technician. The role involves conducting both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations, averaging approximately 400 flight hours annually. A key requirement for this position is residing within comfortable driving distance of the Council Bluffs, Iowa airport (CBF).

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command is primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft while delivering an exceptional service experience to clients. Key duties include:

  • Ensuring all crewing and trip assignments strictly comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Completing thorough flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks for each assigned flight.
  • Utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to lead pre-flight briefings effectively and mitigate potential operational risks.
  • Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating seamlessly with internal personnel as necessary.
  • Serving as the designated Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator in accordance with company policy.
  • Executing comprehensive aircraft pre-flight inspections, verifying the aircraft's maintenance status, and ensuring mission readiness. Recording all aircraft discrepancies precisely following company SOPs.
  • Monitoring and overseeing all aircraft ground servicing activities, such as fueling, oil checks, and oxygen servicing, ensuring they are completed in compliance with SOPs.
  • Conducting passenger briefings professionally and in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards. Providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating special passenger needs, including those requiring physical assistance.
  • Applying Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles to maintain clear and timely communication with fellow crew members and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
  • Actively identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience and consistently providing quality service to aircraft owners and passengers. Investigating and resolving service deviations promptly.
  • Collaborating effectively with crew members and EJM internal departments to ensure a consistent and high-quality service experience for owners and passengers, resolving conflicts and challenges professionally.
  • Maintaining all required regulatory and company training and ensuring recency of experience standards are met.
  • Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting any safety concerns or instances of non-compliance through established channels.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate is required.
  • Possession of a current First Class Medical Certificate is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of professional aviation experience is expected.
  • Prior experience in corporate or business aviation environments is preferred.
  • An FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet (Citation Longitude) is preferred.
  • Must be capable of performing all essential functions of the position.
  • Minimum flight time requirements include:
    • Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
    • Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
    • Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
    • PIC Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
    • Instrument: 300 hours
    • Jet: 500 hours
