Job Description
Worthington Enterprises seeks a Corporate Pilot to provide safe, effective, and efficient on-demand air transportation, contributing to company objectives. The role prioritizes safety, reliability, capacity, and economy, with overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of crew and passengers. Candidates must reside within a two-hour drive of the OSU Airport.
Responsibilities
- Perform preflight and post-flight inspections.
- Study weather conditions for departure, enroute, destination, or alternate airports.
- Ensure flight plans are filed and the aircraft has proper fuel loading.
- Confirm the aircraft is clean, prepared for flight, and provisioned for passenger safety and comfort.
- Review and calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance data, utilizing appropriate checklists.
- Make decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights, and deviate from planned routes or destinations as operating conditions dictate.
- Assist in positioning aircraft for departure and arrival.
- Immediately notify the Chief Pilot of any condition that adversely affects safety, proficiency, competence, or currency in assigned duties.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot certificate with appropriate type ratings.
- Valid FAA medical certificate.
- Restricted Radio Telephone Operators permit.
- Satisfactory completion of annual FAA simulator training demonstrating ATP standards.
- 2,000 hours of total aircraft time.
- Experience in aircraft of a similar or higher type than those operated by the Company.
- Knowledge and experience relating to aircraft maintenance requirements.
- Proficiency in management and administrative skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven skills as an aviator.
- Strong ability to act under pressure.
