Job Description

Worthington Enterprises seeks a Corporate Pilot to provide on-demand, safe, effective, and efficient air transportation, aligning with company objectives. Key priorities include safety, reliability, capacity, and economy. The Pilot is ultimately responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of the crew and passengers. Candidates must reside within a two-hour drive of the OSU Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preflight and post-flight inspections.
  • Review weather conditions for departure, enroute, destination, and alternate airports.
  • Ensure flight plans are filed and aircraft have proper fuel loading.
  • Verify the aircraft is clean, prepared for flight, and provisioned for passenger safety and comfort.
  • Calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance data, utilizing appropriate checklists.
  • Make decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights, and deviate from planned routes or destinations as operating conditions necessitate.
  • Assist in positioning the aircraft for departure and arrival.
  • Immediately report any condition adversely affecting safety, proficiency, competence, or currency to the Chief Pilot.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot certificate with appropriate type ratings.
  • Restricted Radio Telephone Operators permit.
  • Valid FAA medical certificate.
  • Satisfactory completion of annual FAA simulator training demonstrating ATP standards.
  • 2,000 hours of total aircraft time.
  • Experience in aircraft of a similar or higher type to Company-operated aircraft.
  • Strong ability to act under pressure.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven aviation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience related to aircraft maintenance requirements.
  • Proficiency in management and administrative skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Must live within a 2-hour drive of the OSU Airport.
